In 2002, I founded Little Shrimp. Having spent the previous 10 years working as a professional clothing designer, specialising in casual wear for women and children. After my son was born I found buying more simple casual clothing for him challenging. I wanted clothing specifically designed for a child not a mini adult. I wanted wide necks, soft elasticated waists easy to wash soft organic cotton, quirky prints and stripe combinations.  I could not find this however hard I looked so it was at this point, sketching at my dining table I decided to found my own company that would produce all those attributes as well as comfortable well designed clothing with a child's ever changing shape in mind. Encompassing my love of the ocean, print design, my childhood nick named I came up with the brand name Little Shrimp.  I had a few lines made up and started to sell them locally, I now had a market...and so to speak the rest is history....we now supply over 250 stockist's worldwide including United Kingdom, Russia, Finland, Belgium, Australia, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Poland,Luxembourg, to name but a few.

Our organic baby and children's clothing is then dyed and printed and processed in accordance with the standards set out by the renowned Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) under the EKO Sustainable Textile Scheme.  GOTS also audit for not only the supply chain for dye and cloth but also the general well being fo the workers involved in making our clothes. Compliance with these standards is continunally monitored. This is our contribution to a cleaner happier earth for our future children.  All our efforts to make organic product encourages biodiversity and maintains a pesticide free zone for animals, birds, fish, plants and people.

All our products are tested to store standards for washing and colour migration.  We have chosen a particular weight of cloth for our products which we have found continues to perform for you again and again after washing, so you can pass our wonderful clothing onto friends and family to also enjoy time and time again.  We think you will agree, why not choose to produce clothing in an organic way? Our prints and collections  are designed exclusively by myself in Somerset, England.   Little Shrimp is very proud of it's ecological status.  This organic cotton is better for the workers, farmers and you.  Our prints do not contain nasties like PVC or Phthlates either.

We produce non-seasonal collections, which means you can keep wearing and buying Little Shrimp products all year round.  We offer clothing from birth to six years in the form of co-ordinating collections.
